Stabby Sustainability

Is needle felting environmentally friendly?

Compared to the dopamine-hijackers of AI farms and the fast-fashion landfill, yes: needle felting is a goddamn angel. It’s slow, small-batch, and scrappy by design.

I’ve repurposed random junk my whole life. Call it frugal or feral. I love turning trash into treasure. Corporations green-wash us with β€œsaving the Earth” messaging while torching it for profit. I try to minimize the fire while maximizing the feeling.

Every package we ship is another chance to create without building another pile at the landfill.

What We Use

We’re here to be scrappy, thrifty, and slightly chaotic in how we run this business. Sustainability isn’t some sleek social campaign for shares. It’s the messy joy of reusing what’s already here.

Here's how we upcycle, recycle, repurpose, and reuse our materials:

Sticker
  • We source from small North Carolina, Michigan, Texas, and New York fiber farms, not megacorps.

  • Shipping boxes from my neighbors: your kit might arrive in a range of brand boxes.

  • Notion bags from ClearBags that don’t outlive the apocalypse.

  • Padded mailers from EcoEnclose keep it secure without choking the next generation ofΒ  sea turtles.

  • Unused test tubes from local universities get a second life of for needle storage.

  • Why import fluff halfway around the world when you can count on the sheep right here?

  • We partner with real people for design, copy, and code instead of prompting bots.
